Community Flood Resilience Board, Calderdale (Mike Davis), has focused on building business resilience, household resilience and community resilience. A website was set up to put all information on flooding in one place. He costed the damage of four (presumably local) floods in 2012/13 at £5m. Volunteers used for multiple activities. Households are warned in advance of flooding.

Shipston Flood Group. Mick said getting local landowners on board is a problem, as farmers usually want a payment if their land is to be used for flood adaptation. He notes the stress associated with flooding and how families, communities and businesses are affected. The group has a researcher who looks at locations where flood defences are likely to be most needed.
